High-Protein Cinnamon Pecan 'Noatmeal'
A warm, comforting, and grain-free hot cereal made from seeds and protein powder, topped with crunchy pecans.
Ingredients
- 4 tbsp Hemp hearts
- 1 tbsp Chia seeds
- 1/2 scoop Unflavored or vanilla whey protein isolate
- 1/2 cup Water or unsweetened almond milk
- 1 tbsp Erythritol or other keto sweetener
- 1/4 tsp Ground cinnamon
- 1/2 oz Chopped pecans
Instructions
In a small saucepan, combine the hemp hearts, chia seeds, water (or almond milk), keto sweetener, and cinnamon. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Once simmering, reduce the heat to low and cook for 3-5 minutes, or until the mixture has thickened to your desired consistency. The chia seeds will gel and thicken the 'noatmeal'. Remove from heat and stir in the whey protein powder until fully combined and smooth. Pour into a bowl and top with the chopped pecans before serving.
